Nicolas Feuillatte launches limited edition for John Lewis

Nicolas Feuillatte has launched a new limited edition floral sleeve at John Lewis for its Brut Reserve Champagne.

The Champagne, which is priced £28, will be available through John Lewis until stocks last throughout summer 2017.

The Brut Reserve is described as a delicate, structured Champagne offering “boundless elegance and finesse”. On the nose it has fresh white fruit aromas of pear, apple and peach with spicy notes. As the bouquet becomes more expressive, ripe fruit notes become apparent. On the palate the Champagne is elegant and complex with delicate bubbles.

Olivier Legrand, marketing and communications manager, said: “We are pleased to update our spring/ summer range in the UK and we hope it will diversify our offering at John Lewis for the warmer seasons. We believe Champagne is an exceptional product but it doesn’t just need to be reserved for exceptional moments, and we hope this Champagne will be an enchanting centerpiece to embellish precious moments with loved ones and friends for our customers this summer.”

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
