The new Sweet Sainte Rose is produced from 100% late harvest Roussanne from the Domaine Saint Rose vineyards in the Languedoc. The wine is burnished gold in colour and with a soft almond and delicate honeysuckle nose. On the palate it shows orchard fruit flavours with “excellent” acidity and prolongued finish.
Charles Simpson, co-owner, said: “This is the first sweet wine we have produced and we are very pleased with the result. Sweet Saint e Rose has only been produced in small volumes, but we are delighted to be able to make it available to our customers in the UK. We believe this is the first late harvest Roussanne from France."
The 15.5% abv wine will be priced at £12.99 for a 50cl bottle.
