The company said every one of the 960 hand-numbered bottles of Foxhole’s first ever batch of gin have sold out, and it secured listings with a number of independent retailers, online stores, bars and restaurants.
Batch 2, which will be released this month, has a fruit character from the grape spirit which is slightly more pronounced, due to the quality of the 2015 harvest. Like the first batch, launched in September 2016, the gin is made in a sustainable way, with the by-products of winemaking.
James Oag-Cooper, co-founder of Foxhole Spirits, said: “No two grape vintages are the same, our raw material changes from year to year so it’s really interesting to taste the subtle variations of batch 2. The quality and the perfect flavour balance of Foxhole Gin are characteristics that don’t alter, so we know that existing customers will continue to enjoy it and new customers will love it.
