Chris Ringland releases new Barossa wines in the UK

30 November, 2016

Iconic Australian wine producer Chris Ringland has released a new entry-level wine called CR 2013, along with new vintages of his super-premium Barossa Shiraz range.

CR 2013, which will be priced at £17.00, is available from UK distributor Litmus Wines, Noel Young Wines and CRU World Wine. Ringland described the wine has having a “classic North-Western Barossa Shiraz blackberry profile, together with sweet, dark plum and jammy notes. As always, the palate is all about sweet red berries, milk chocolate and subtle vanilla.”

Meanwhile, Hedonism has snapped up the first six-litre Imperial of the flagship 2009 Chris Ringland Barossa Ranges Shiraz ever to be released from the winery; the wines will go on sales in its Mayfair store in December. A small number of single 75cl bottles of the same wine are still available to the trade from Litmus Wines, together with vintages of Hoffman Vineyard Shiraz (2008) and Randall’s Hill Shiraz (2010).

Mike Florence, general manager of Litmus Wines, said: “Chris Ringland’s wines are regularly awarded with amazing high scores by critics worldwide. As such they are incredibly highly sought after in the UK, so we urge anyone interested in securing bottles to be quick!”
