Diageo reveals Winter Edition for Johnnie Walker Blue Label

30 September, 2016

Diageo has unveiled a Winter Edition bottle for its luxury blended Scotch whisky, Johnnie Walker Blue Label.

The new bottle depicts the infamous Johnnie Walker Striding Man set against a blue star-lit sky. Each bottle of the Winter Edition is encased in a luxury presentation box, retailing at £225 per bottle. Only 940 bottles will be available for the UK market and the bottle will be available to buy at specialist retailers from October 2016.

Luxury Reserve Brand Ambassador, Ali Reynolds, said: “Gifting a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label has always meant something special and this beautifully designed new Winter Edition bottle is no exception. As well as being a rare collector’s item, this limited edition bottle is the perfect festive gift.”

To mark the launch, Johnnie Walker Blue Label has created the ‘ultimate serve’ to be enjoyed during the festive period. The winter cocktail draws inspiration from the historic journey taken by the Walker family from Scotland to the four corners of the globe. The serve combines the whisky, one dash of organic coconut sugar syrup, three drops of cardamom bitters and a Morello cherry and orange twist, served in the glass over ice.
