The wine is produced from grapes grown on original ungrafted roots, to create purity of fruit character, and it will sit alongside the well-established Root: 1 Carmenere.
The producer is also set to reveal its redesigned packaging for the Reserva range. The neck collar carries the ‘Soul of the Andes’ tagline, and each in the seven-strong range has a drawing of an intrepid explorer scaling the Andes mountains. New vintages of the Sauvignon Black (2016), Pinot Noir (2015) and Carmenere (2015) will also be released.
The wines are set to be launched at the Mercado Chileno annual trade tasting event, which will take place in London on 13 September.
Also at the event, the producer will showcase its GCM - Carnacha, Carinena, Mataro – Carmenere and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Grey range of single block wines; Heru Pinot Noir from Casablanca; the new 2012 vintage of the premium Vertice made by Felipe Tosso in partnership with John Duval.
