Berry Bros appoints new director of private clients

Berry Bros & Rudd has appointed Nick Morton in the new role of director of private clients.

Morton joins from Help for Heroes, where he held the role of marketing director since 2014. In that role he was responsible for setting up the charity’s marketing operations and developing its marketing and business strategy. He has also held the role of head of marketing for Pernod Ricard UK, working across the company’s luxury brands portfolio.

Berry Bros’ chief executive, Dan Jago, said: “We are delighted to welcome Morton to the team. With his experience within the drink and luxury sectors I am certain he will be a great asset to the business.”

Morton will be responsible for the areas of the business interacting directly with Berry Bros’ private client base, including online and retail sales, services and events.

He said: “As with every retail company, customers need to be kept firmly at the heart of the business. I look forward to playing my part in ensuring that every one of Berry Bros. & Rudd’s customers enjoys the exceptional service and outstanding experience associated with a company of this standing.”

Looking back to look forward

Wine is a liquid time capsule. Drinking older vintages not only recalls the weather conditions and winemaking styles of the past, it encourages us to reflect upon our own histories. Such reminiscence often inclines towards romanticised nostalgia. Especially after the second bottle. But looking back is a great way of learning about the future.
