His base salary was increased to £645,000 from £567,970 on 19 October 2015, following a detailed review. The renumeration committee said the increase was due to the “changes in the size and complexity of the group as a result of the Spirit acquisition.”
The report also revealed that Anand earned a total of £2,547,000 for the 52 weeks ended 1 May, up from £2,139,000 the year before.
Chief financial officer Kirk Davis received a 7% rise from 19 October 2015, bringing his base salary up to £351,000 from £328,000.
The report also revealed that the base fee for chairman Philip Yea was £183,000, whilst the base fees for the non-executive directors were £46,000 for Mike Coupe, Rob Rowley and Philip Yea and £53,400 each for Ian Durant and Lynne Weedall.
