Global insights from Kantar show that while the everyday meal at home is the second biggest wine occasion, it is increasingly under threat from other alcohol categories.
Rosemount Meal Matchers has been created to directly link the wines to the occasion. The range, which has “uniquely designed packaging”, clearly connects wine with a recommended food match.
Caroline Thompson-Hill, head of marketing for the UK and Western Europe at TWE, said: “Rosemount Meal Matchers simplifies a category that can be very intimidating for those less involved in wine. The distinctive chalkboard effect bottle design directly communicates a clear food and wine pairing to inspire shoppers when they are in-store.”
There are four wines in the range: A Cabernet Merlot blend matched with pasta; Shiraz with Steak; Sauvignon Blanc with Seafood and Chardonnay with Chicken.
Thompson-Hill continued: “Our winemakers have carefully developed the wines to complement the flavours of the recommended food match. The overall result is an enhanced everyday meal occasion.”
