Crush takes on South Australian producer Glenlofty

17 June, 2016

South Australian producer Glenlofty has joined the Crush portfolio.

Commercial manager, Emma Laval, said: “Glenlofty is the ideal partner for Crush Wines, sharing the same innovative and dynamic approach to creating and developing true wine brands with the consumer in mind. Glenlofty’s distinctive and creative packaging is a reflection of the fun and enjoyment they want each consumer of Glenlofty to experience.”

The producer, which is based at the foothills of Victoria’s Pyranees, released its first official vintage under the Glenlofty label in 2013 and it then secured a number of Gold medals from various international wine competitions. Each vintage is sold in limited quantities on allocation, which makes their wines some of the most sought after from this region.

Glenlofty’s vineyards benefit from showing a range of microclimates which mitigate against the risk of frost and allow for extended ripening hours. The producer said this ensures the quality of wine produced is at its highest even in particularly difficult vintages such as 2011. It also noted that Glenlofty’s range of soils and microclimates echo those of Northern Rhone in France.

Crush will be carrying all of the Glenlofty range including the two flagship blends of Shiraz Viognier and Marsanne Roussanne.
