The wine importer has taken on Rod McDonald Wines and Rock Ferry to boost its premium wine offering.
Rod McDonald Wines, which is located in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand, is a winery which farms 75 hectares spread over five vineyard sites with everything grown and made in small batches to ensure it maintains a unique personality. Its portfolio includes the brands Trademark, Te Awanga and One Off.
Rock Ferry, which was founded in 2005 by Tom and Fiona Hutchinson in the Marlborough region, is believed to be one of New Zealand’s leading organic producers. The winery produces a Sauvignon Blanc made from handpicked low yielding fruit which is released when ready, usually with a year or two in bottle. It also has sparkling wines, aromatic whites, reds, orange and other experimental styles from Gruner Veltliner to Tempranillo. It has wine estates in Marlborough and Central Otago.
