Jeroboams launches art collaboration with London artist

Jeroboams, the London-based wine merchant, is to distribute contemporary illustrative maps of the communities they are based in to their customers and beyond.

The company, which has six shops in key London ‘villages’, has teamed up with acclaimed artist Zebedee Helm to produce witty maps which provide a glimpse of the London landmarks that exist within each community.

Helm has worked with Private Eye, The Spectator, Hermes, John Lobb and even Derren Brown. The maps show in detail the iconic places and secret gems that make up the communities that surround Jeroboams’ stores. The activity forms part of the company’s ongoing vision which is to remain a central part of the local community.

Hugh Sturges, Managing Director of Jeroboams sais: “Working with Zebedee Helm is an exciting part of our ongoing plans for London’s Local Wine Merchant as we launch our Jeroboams maps. They are unique and contemporary and highlight the personality of each of our communities.  With key locations in Chelsea, Notting Hill and Hampstead, we are able to showcase the individuality and character of each of our shops as quality local independents within each of the witty maps.”

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
