Majestic Wine Definition range hits £5 million mark

16 May, 2016

Majestic Wine has announced that its own-label Definition range has passed the £5 million sales barrier since its launch in September 2015.

The 12-strong definition range features five whites, five reds a rosé and a Prosecco, and the bestsellers have been the Prosecco, Sauvignon Blanc and Rioja Reserva.

The retailer got a further boost last week when its Definition range scooped a host of awards at the International Wine Challenge, including golds for the Chardonnay and Rioja Reserva

Matt Pym, Majestic’s head of buying, said: “Definition is a great way to get chatting about wine with our customers and it’s an easy way to explore wine-making areas and grape varieties.

“Feedback and sales of Definition have been excellent. We’re delighted that our customers are enjoying them as much as us.”

Majestic has now grown the Definition range by adding two new wines, a Pouilly Fumé and a Chianti Classico, taking the range up to 14 wines.
