Ridgeview launches limited edition wines

06 May, 2016

Ridgeview has confirmed the launch of new vintages from its limited edition range.

Next week’s official launch of the 2013 new release Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs and Rose de Noirs, will highlight this vintage as one of the best in recent years, according to the English sparkling wine producer. These three wines are the last in the range of 2013 wines to be released, to allow additional time in the cellar.

The company explained that 2013 was “a fantastic vintage in England”, due to a long growing season that resulted in excellent fruit complexity, intense flavours and great natural acidity.

Upon release Ridgeview Blanc de Noirs 2013 has immediately been awarded a Gold in the 2016 International Wine and Spirit Competition and Solver in the Sommelier Wine Awards. Ridgeview Blanc de Blancs 2013 has also been awarded two Silver Medals in these competitions.

The Blanc de Blancs 2013 is Ridgeview’s only single estate wine from its original vineyard at the foot of the South Downs planted by the Roberts family over 20 years ago. This 100% Chardonnay wine has proved to be an iconic blend for Ridgeview with previous vintages achieving numerous global trophies and accolades. This limited edition range of wines has restricted volumes and therefore the producer has introduced a new pricing structure to reflect the uniqueness and rarity of these blends.
