CWF launches new Kissing Tree PET varietals

CWF, the wine importer and drinks producer, has added three new varietals to its range of 18.7cl PET wines under its Kissing Tree brand.

The range has also undergone a packaging update for summer 2016, with new label designs offering a fresh look while retaining its strong brand identity.

The new additions include a 10.5% abv Californian Zinfandel Rose, which is described as having a nose with a clean summery blend of raspberry and strawberry fruits. Its taste profile is medium-sweet with a creamy and fresh summer fruits style balanced by a crisp acidity on the finish.

Along with this there is a South African Cabernet Sauvignon and a South African Chenin Blanc.

Amy Ledger, Marketing Manager at CWF said: “Kissing Tree has been one of our recent success stories – it’s ethos of sharing combined with the great quality wines available in the range has really captured the imagination of consumers.  Adding the new varietals to the PET format gives consumers the best of both worlds – a great range of wines to choose from in a format that is convenient for consumers to enjoy either in or outside of the home.”

Kissing Tree 18.7cl is available in cases of 48 x 18.7cl from £48.85.

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
