Old Forester joins the BBFB portfolio

01 April, 2016

Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands (BBFB) has announced it has taken over distribution of Old Forester Kentucky Bourbon.

Old Forester is America’s first bottled Bourbon, and the brand was established in 1870. The brand was previously distributed in the UK by Mangrove.

Amanda Almond, Managing Director for Bacardi Brown-Forman Brands, commented: "Mangrove was instrumental in establishing Old Forester in the UK and demonstrating that there is real demand for this Super Premium bourbon. We would like to thank them for their work. Old Forester will now take its place within our award winning portfolio of American Whiskies as we continue to lead and grow the category with our customers.”

Old Forester will join other American Whiskies in the BBFB portfolio, including Woodford Reserve and the Jack Daniel's collection of drinks.
