Clements will be responsible for developing the retailer’s convenience offer through its portfolio of Metro, Express and One Stop stores across the country.
She joined the company in 2002, where she helped expand the Tesco Express format as a store director and also as a leader of the Express central team.
Prior to this appointment she held the position of customer strategy and insight director, and before that she was operations development director and then support office director.
“I’m delighted to confirm that Tracey Clements has been appointed as the managing director for convenience and chief executive of One Stop,” said Tesco’s UK retail director Tony Hoggett. “Her wealth and breadth of experience will support the teams in developing this key part of our business.”
