Healeys launch new Rattler Mulled Cyder

Corwnall-based Healeys Cyder Farm is launching a new mulled cider with an eye to the approaching winter.

Rattler Mulled Cyder is the sixth iteration of the company’s flagship Rattler brand, which also includes Pear and Berry variants.

The new product uses a mix of winter spices. As with the original Rattler Cyder, it has an ABV of 4%.

Sam Healey, operations director at Healeys Cornish Cyder Farm, said: “This refreshing and comforting drink is best enjoyed next to a roaring fire as you relive a Cornish summer full of beach breaks, surfing and sunshine.”

The product is available in stores, as well as at the company’s newly expanded visitor centre. It is also available on-line direct from Healeys in a pack of twelve.

Healeys Cyder Farm was founded Kay and David Healey in 1986.

It is now the largest cider-maker and commercial orchard in Cornwall.

It has recently agreed to supply Marks & Spencer with a new cloudy Cornish Farmhouse Cyder to be sold in 468 of the retailer’s UK stores.

Healeys Cyder Farm is a popular visitor attraction running daily tours of its new £3.5million state of the art production facility and orchard.

Alongside its range of ciders, Healeys also now produces wines, spirits and preserves.

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
