Bibendum PLB adds Jascots buyer Pyatt to its ranks

29 July, 2015

Bibendum PLB Group has appointed Jascots’ head buyer Alastiar Pyatt as a buyer responsible for sourcing wines from across France.

In his new role Pyatt will buy wines for all three of the group’s trading companies – Bibendum, PLB and Walker & Wodehouse.

Andrew Shaw, buying director at Bibendum PLB, said: “He’s a great fit for Bibendum PLB and no doubt we will benefit enormously from his experience, talent and passion.

“France is, of course, a hugely important and successful region for us, so it was very important we found someone who could take this challenge in their stride, as well as having the knowledge and enthusiasm required to join our dynamic team.”

Pyatt joined Jascots in 2011 and hit headlines last year when he bumped into George Osborne on the London Underground and helped persuade the Chancellor to freeze duty on wine.
