Morgenrot signs up sherry producer Bodegas Baron

13 May, 2015

Manchester-based drinks importer Morgenrot has launched a range of sherries from Bodegas Baron.

The line-up includes the entry level Micaela Manzanilla, Xixarito and Soluqua.

Morgenrot commercial director John Critchley, said: “The leaner styles of sherry have been enjoying a comeback in the last decade and are finally starting to ditch old-fashioned associations.

“Restaurants are giving the drink its pride of place, a raft of sherry bars are succeeding and the style is attracting new, younger consumers, so it’s definitely a category to watch.

“We’ve had our eye out for a while and are delighted to have got the brand we wanted. Bodegas Baron really is the full package – steeped in heritage, unbelievable quality and sublime packaging.”
