Heineken launches new Old Mout flavour

21 April, 2015

Heineken has launched a new Pomegranate & Strawberry variant for its New Zealand fruit cider brand Old Mout.

Old Mout racked up sales of more than 12 million bottles in its first year after launching in 2014 (Nielsen, year to January 2015) and Heineken is giving the brand a £4 million marketing campaign to continue to build it up.

Pomegranate & Strawberry joins Summer Berries, Passionfruit & Apple and Kiwi & Lime in the line-up.

Emma Sherwood-Smith, director of cider brands at Heineken, said: “New Zealanders are known for their adventurous and bold personalities, which is exactly the ethos that drives Old Mout.

“Pomegranate & Strawberry is exotic and unique and we know it will be a hit with consumers as they enjoy discovering new, interesting flavours.”
