Casillero del Diablo sponsors Sky Movies

CyT hopes to reach 44 million consumers with a yearlong TV ad campaign for Casillero del Diablo that will run on Sky Movies, Sky 1 and Sky Living from March.

The Casillero branding will feature alongside 55,000 films that are being launched by Sky in 2015.

The brand will promote the Sky partnership with an on-pack promotion on 4 million bottles offering drinkers the chance to win a trip to Hollywood and free Sky subscriptions.

Further POS for stores promoting the sponsorship will be rolled out,

“We believe that through the Casillero del Diablo brand we can drive true category value for our customers by connecting with our consumers through strong and extensive marketing campaigns and delighting them with our award winning wines.”

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
