Pinkster gin catches the eye of leading wholesalers

Premium gin brand Pinkster has signed distribution deals with Coe Vinters and Gordon & MacPhail as it steps up expansion plans following second round financing.

The company switched to G&J Distillers in June and is now actively recruiting a brand ambassador to drive the brand to new heights.  

Managing director Stephen Marsh said the brand had secured “six-figure financing” to develop the brand after “encouraging trade feedback” when it was released last year.

Coe Vintners will now supply the gin along with Scottish wholesaler Gordon & MacPhail.

Marsh said: “Given how fiercely competitive the category is, we're mighty pleased to have caught the eye of leading wholesalers and will be stepping up production to cope with accelerated demand. 

“Trade accounts tell us tell that we're adding a twist to their premium gin repertoire and are especially popular with women, which backs up our extensive consumer sampling across the UK.”

Pinkster is available in 70cl bottles with a RRP of £34.

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
