Borough Wines opens sixth London shop

08 December, 2014

Borough Wines has opened its sixth London shop in Clerkenwell’s Exmouth Market.

The chain, which has built its reputation on its wine refill system, is set to introduce a beer growler to do the same with beer.

Co-owner Corinna Pyke said: “As a centre for innovation and creativity, Clerkenwell has a lot in common with the locations of our existing shops, and we have been looking to expand into the area for some time. It took a while to find the perfect space, but the iconic and foodie Exmouth Market feels like the perfect fit.

“It’s exciting to bring the unique Borough Wines offering to a new audience and it is undoubtedly a big step for the company. We have already had a great reception from residents, visitors and people working in the area.”

Borough Wines sells wines from around the world alongside craft beers and boutique spirits.

It started out in Hackney and has two restaurants as well as the chain of shops.

Its first branch in west London opened in Kensal Rise this year, and marked the chain's decision to expand beyond its Hackney heartland.
