Autumn rugby union campaign for Guinness

Guinness launches a TV campaign of four videos focusing on legends of rugby union tomorrow (November 5).

The ads are timed ahead of the autumn’s international matches and feature England World Cup winning hero Jonny Wilkinson, Wales winger Shane Williams, commentator Bill McLaren and the Munster team that beat the All Blacks in 1978.

The ads are live on Youtube from today.

Stephen O’Kelly, Guinness marketing director for western Europe said: “We have a long and proud association with rugby. These stories demonstrate the inspirational character and integrity that is central to the sport and the values of the Guinness brand.”

Looking back to look forward

Wine is a liquid time capsule. Drinking older vintages not only recalls the weather conditions and winemaking styles of the past, it encourages us to reflect upon our own histories. Such reminiscence often inclines towards romanticised nostalgia. Especially after the second bottle. But looking back is a great way of learning about the future.
