They were launched as part of the French Wines with Style campaign to target those who “prefer a perfect evening in with good wine, food and company to heading down to the local and screaming at the screen”.
Basset said: “We would like people who are a bit scared of wine to be more relaxed in the way they approach French wine. We are trying to make things easier for the consumer to understand.”
This is the fifth film from the French Wines with Style campaign. Previous videos have seen Gerard matching different French wine styles to film stars during the Cannes film festival, to fashion designers during Paris Fashion Week and more recently to spring and summer fashion trends.
These videos have appeared on more 80 websites and reached more than 50 million adults.
