Bibendum to handle Beerd beers

10 June, 2014

Bath Ales has signed a distribution deal with Bibendum Wine for its Beerd craft brewery, set up a year ago.

Bibendum will handle Beerdís Silvertip and Monocle beers, the first time they have appeared in bottles.

Bath ales managing director Robin Couling said: ďWe launched Beerd last year to enable us to experiment with new styles of beer without taking focus away from our core range.

ďBeerd beers have proved very popular regionally and we feel that Beerd could go very far in the UK market.Ē

Monocle is a 5.3% IPA and Silvertip a 4.7% pale ale made with New Zealand hops.
