Bargain Booze expands in north east

29 May, 2014

A Nisa convenience store operator in north east England has taken on franchises for two Bargain Booze stores.

North East Convenience Stores has 22 shops in the region and is trading under the Bargain Booze banner at sites in South Shields and Longbenton.

NECS commercial director Dave Pickford said: “The strength of the Bargain Booze brand and the quality of the franchise package are very compelling for independent operators.

“We believe that the new stores will add real value to our estate and we’re keen to develop a long-term partnership.”

Keith Webb, franchise director at Bargain Booze owner Conviviality Retail, said: “We have ambitious expansion plans to grow our estate in the north east, Yorkshire and the south, so this new partnership is strategically important.”

Looking back to look forward

Wine is a liquid time capsule. Drinking older vintages not only recalls the weather conditions and winemaking styles of the past, it encourages us to reflect upon our own histories. Such reminiscence often inclines towards romanticised nostalgia. Especially after the second bottle. But looking back is a great way of learning about the future.
