FE Barber consolidates wine business

25 April, 2014

FE Barber has consolidated its Kingsland Wine & Spirits and Legacy Wines agencies under the name Kingsland in a bid to simplify the brand.

Kingsland was set up more than 50 years ago but Legacy was launched in 2011 as a specialist division, and the empire grew when it took over Stratford’s in 2012.

To avoid confusion everything will now fall under the Kingsland name and managing director Andy Sagar said: “The last few years have been a period of positive development and significant investment for us, from setting up our own brands and agency portfolio to installing a new 42-tank wine cellar.

"Bringing all the elements of our operation under one name helps us to communicate a very simple message: that Kingsland is an experienced, innovative, bespoke wine and spirits company.”

Brands include McWilliam’s, Shorn, Marisco, Tinto Figuero and Eresma.
