£1m prize in Crabbie's Grand National promotion

10 February, 2014

Halewood International is offering a £1 million first prize in an on-pack competition on Crabbie’s in the run up to the Grand National, which is sponsored by the alcoholic ginger beer brand.

The prize matches that on offer for the winner of the race itself – and there will be other prizes including Grand National tickets and bottles of Crabbie’s.

Promotional bottles will contain codes to unlock an interactive Donkey Derby game on the Crabbie’s website.

The offer will run on 50cl and 33cl bottles of Crabbie’s Original, Scottish Raspberry and Strawberry & Lime. Competition stock is in wholesale and independent channels initially and in major multiples from the start of March.

POS kits are being distributed to cash and carries and independents.

Senior brand manager Claire Kelly said: “The on-pack offer will help to raise awareness of Crabbie’s sponsorship of the Grand National among both drinkers and non-drinkers of the brand.”
