Valentine's limited-edition for Lambrini

Halewood has launched a limited-edition Valentine's bottle of Lambrini Original that will sell in Tesco and Morrisons this month.

The heart-shaped design on the 75cl bottles is designed to provide on-shelf standout.

Brand manager Lorna Tweed said: “Our previous limited edition bottles, including last year’s floral, summer design, have generated a rate-of-sale increase of up to 78% in participating stores. 

“This announcement will help to strengthen Lambrini’s ties with one of the brand’s key retailers and the design will appeal to Lambrini drinkers’ romanticism ahead of Valentines Day.

“Both Tesco and Morrisons will be promoting a range of Valentines products in-store, and the limited edition bottle will provide additional incentive to purchase for the consumer.”

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
