PLB to handle Scottish brewer's brands

09 December, 2013

Perth-based Inveralmond Brewery has signed a deal with wine supplier PLB for its beers to be given wider distribution in the off-trade.

The deal will cover sales to specialist retailers and “tactical sales management” in the grocery sector.

PLB will represent a number of brands including Ossian, Lia Fail, Thrappledouser, Blackfriar and Santa’s Swallie.

Inveralmond comercial director Bob Hogg said: “PLB’s knowledge and understanding of the specialist sector’s needs make them the perfect partner for our business.

“Our customers can be assured of an enhanced level of service and a range of new promotional activity which will ensure their craft beer offer maximises its potential.”

Martin Howe, head of PLB's beer division, said: “The Inveralmond Brewery portfolio adds depth to our beer offer.

“We were impressed by the plans Inveralmond have for new bottled products.”
