Former Tesco development manager joins Origin Wine

22 October, 2013

Origin Wine has appointed Phil Reedman MW to build up its new brand Camden Park in Australia.

Reedman was formerly Tesco’s product development manager in Australia and Origin’s managing director Bernard Fontannaz believes his extensive experience Down Under will help make Camden Park a success.

Fontannaz said: “We believe it is paramount to have a presence in Australia to ensure the quality of our brand.”

Origin has become one of South Africa’s leading suppliers in the past decade and has recently expanded into France, Spain and Italy, as well as launching Camden Park in the Netherlands.

“We believe that our supplier model, based on innovation, economies of scale, flexibility and reliability is the right model for the market,” said Fontannaz, adding that he sees strong potential for the firm.
