Heineken sponsors London Film Festival

05 September, 2013

Heineken has become the official beer of the 57th BFI London Film Festival, which takes place from October 9-20.

The lager had already built ties with the film world by sponsoring the James Bond film franchise for 15 years.

The deal means Heineken will be served at the festival’s opening night gala as well as at screenings, receptions, cinema light bars and sponsored gala parties.

Brands director David Lette said: “The new partnership provides us with an exciting opportunity to showcase Heineken at one of the world’s largest and most prestigious film festivals in a capital city which plays a key role in our global ambition for the brand.”

Looking back to look forward

Wine is a liquid time capsule. Drinking older vintages not only recalls the weather conditions and winemaking styles of the past, it encourages us to reflect upon our own histories. Such reminiscence often inclines towards romanticised nostalgia. Especially after the second bottle. But looking back is a great way of learning about the future.
