05 June, 2013

Members of the drinks trade are embarking on a 600km cycle ride through the mountainous region of northern Spain and Portugal in a bid to raise £25,000 for charity.

Andrew Hawes, managing director of Mentzendorff, will be joined by Ian Harris of the WSET, Adrian Bridge of Taylor’s Port and Philip Amps of Amps Fine Wines among others for the Mentzendorff Charity Ride.

It begins in Haro, Rioja, on Monday, June 10, and ends five days later at Regua in the heart of Portugal’s Douro Valley.

All money raised goes to drinks charity The Benevolent, and you can donate at http://www.justgiving.com/Andrew-Hawes1
