Piper-Heidsieck appoints brand ambassador

22 May, 2013

Piper- Heidsieck’s new brand ambassador has pledged to travel across the UK to educate the trade about its wines and the Champagne category in general as supplier First Drinks ramps up its investment in the brand.

Helen Mackenzie has previously worked on GH Mumm and Perrier Jouët during an 11-year stint at Pernod Ricard, and she will draw on all this experience to push Piper- Heidsieck.

She will host tutored tastings and training sessions to build the brand.

Mackenzie, who has also held sales roles at Matthew Clark, Devaux Champagne and Winerite, said: “I am extremely excited to take up the role of Brand Ambassador for Piper-Heidsieck in the UK.  It is a brand with great heritage and there are exciting times ahead for its portfolio of award-winning wines, supported by the talented and innovative winemaker, Régis Camus.”

Piper-Heidsieck senior brand manager Oliver Dickson added: “We are delighted to have Helen on board.  Her level of experience and skill coupled with fresh insight will help us build on our success and take Piper-Heidsieck to the next level. Her appointment also further demonstrates First Drinks’ commitment to the company’s profile and development.”
