The brand was relaunched June 2012 with a new design, and it has enjoyed volume growth since, with Nielsen figures showing it up 67% year-on-year (six months to 2/2/13).
It is extending its five-strong range to drive sales in the “warm up to summer festival fun”.
Over the past year the flavoured cider market has gone up 61% in volume in the UK off-trade (Nielsen to 2/2/13) and Gaymers’ head of innovation Victoria Walker said: “Recognising this growth and the space for innovation in the flavoured cider market, we have created what we believe to be a delicious new addition to the Gaymers line up and an exciting development in the category.
"The new variant embodies the fun spirit and energy of the brand and we’re sure it will become a sure fire hit at events and parties across the year.”
The new flavour, which comes in 50cl bottles, will be available nationwide in Asda from April and in Tesco from May.
