Nyetimber takes on Champagne at Paris Fashion Week

27 February, 2013

Nyetimber’s English sparkling wine will be served during Paris Fashion Week for the first time tomorrow.

It will be poured at the Great British Fashion Reception hosted by Sir Peter Ricketts, the British Ambassador to France, at his Residence at 39, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.

Christian Holthausen, Nyetimber’s marketing manager, said: “Paris Fashion Week has always been synonymous with Champagne, but the world is indeed changing.

“As French people, we are learning to recognise wines of a high quality from all over the world and Nyetimber’s commitment to quality is undeniable. These wines are absolutely world-class.”

The evening will celebrate British designers in Paris, and will be attended by fashion luminaries from around the world. Nyetimber will serve its award-winning Blanc de Blancs 2003 en Magnum.

“The purpose of this evening is to shine the spotlight on British creativity in the midst of one of the world’s most demanding weeks in the world of fashion," said John Gleave, senior trade advisor at the British Embassy in Paris. “We are delighted that Nyetimber can be part of this celebration.”
