Plymouth Gin aims to reinforce super-premium credentials

07 January, 2013

Pernod Ricard UK has given its Plymouth Gin brand a facelift and the new bottle will be rolled out across the off-trade this month.

The new 70cl bottle has an RRP of £24.49 and its rounded shape and antique style are designed to pay tribute to the brandís heritage.

An image of the Mayflower on the label underlines the brandís links to Plymouth.

Adam Boita, Marketing Manager at Pernod Ricard UK, says: ďThe stylish bottles will offer increased on-shelf stand-out for the on- and off-trade, with the increased price point reflecting Plymouthís rightful position in the super-premium gin category.

ďThe new positioning and recommended pricing reflects better the cache of a truly artisanal gin and matches both the award-winning content and the unique heritage the brand represents when compared to its competitors.Ē

What makes wine special

Reaching the 50th instalment of Hemmingís Way is hardly the biggest milestone, but I donít need much of an excuse to pour myself a glass of champagne before getting dressed. Itís a better reason than I had for all 49 other instalments, anyway. Not that that stopped me.
