Plymouth Gin aims to reinforce super-premium credentials

07 January, 2013

Pernod Ricard UK has given its Plymouth Gin brand a facelift and the new bottle will be rolled out across the off-trade this month.

The new 70cl bottle has an RRP of £24.49 and its rounded shape and antique style are designed to pay tribute to the brand’s heritage.

An image of the Mayflower on the label underlines the brand’s links to Plymouth.

Adam Boita, Marketing Manager at Pernod Ricard UK, says: “The stylish bottles will offer increased on-shelf stand-out for the on- and off-trade, with the increased price point reflecting Plymouth’s rightful position in the super-premium gin category.

“The new positioning and recommended pricing reflects better the cache of a truly artisanal gin and matches both the award-winning content and the unique heritage the brand represents when compared to its competitors.”

Welcoming the wine rookie

It’s all true. Wine writers loaf around in a state of partial inebriation and partial undress, bitching about having to taste free wine all day and using recondite words like malolactic, terroir and recondite.
