Justin Knock MW will advise Cobevco’s technical and product teams as they try to develop innovative packages for global customers.
Knock has degrees in food science and industrial chemistry and has made wine in Australia, France and Spain.
He has also worked with producers in New Zealand, the USA and Chile during his 15-year career in the industry.
He said: “Over the course of my career the wine market has become increasingly globalised and consumers have more choice in terms of country of origin than ever before.
"With excellent wine now made all over the world, producing a quality beverage is just one part of building a successful brand.
