London International Wine Trade Fair organiser James Murray leaves post

James Murray, the director of the London International Wine Trade Fair, is†stepping down to explore "new horizons".

He joined exhibition firm Brintex in 2002 but told OLN he has taken the†decision to move on.

Ross Carter, currently a buyer at importer PLB, will replace Murray in†January.†

Carter has worked at PLB since 2011 and was previously international sales†manager for the London International Wine Trade Fair.

Murray said: "I will stay in the events world. But I have been at Brintex†for 10 years and have taken the decisions to move on. I love the industry†and I love the show, but am looking at new horizons."

What makes wine special

Reaching the 50th instalment of Hemmingís Way is hardly the biggest milestone, but I donít need much of an excuse to pour myself a glass of champagne before getting dressed. Itís a better reason than I had for all 49 other instalments, anyway. Not that that stopped me.
