Moët aims to get tills ringing on Valentine's Day

Moët & Chandon is releasing a limited-edition gift pack called Declare Your Love to capitalise on the Valentine’s Day market.

It contains a bottle of the Champagne House’s Rosé Impérial NV cuvee along which is designed to be personalised with the accompanying marker pen and a “booklet of amorous stickers”.

The stickers are emblazoned with phrases like Marry Me, I Love You and la Vie en Rose.  

“Champagne is the ultimate expression of celebration and we are proud to present a stylish, innovative and alluring way to declare your love this Valentine’s Day,” said Arnaud de Saignes, international director of marketing and communications for Moët & Chandon.

A dedicated page on the Moët website will offer ideas for creating the perfect Valentine’s date, including recipes that pair with the Rosé Impérial cuvee.

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
