Hardys teams up with Good Food Show

Hardys expects to reach 145,000 drinkers by sponsoring the BBC Good Food Show.

Accolade’s Australian wine brand sponsored the Supertheatre at the Scotland leg of the travelling road show earlier this month.

It will also be headline sponsor at the upcoming Birmingham and London shows.

The events all feature a Hardys bar, sampling events and demonstrations on how to match Hardys wines with food.

Clare Griffiths, European marketing director for Accolade Wines, said: “The BBC Good Food shows are a natural fit for Hardys which has established a strong association with food and dining occasions through its extensive sponsorship of Come Dine with Me.

“The events attract huge interest from consumers who enjoy quality food and wine so they provide the perfect opportunity to showcase Hardys’ versatility and heritage while recruiting new drinkers.

“Our stand at each event will allow consumers to trial wines such as Nottage Hill and Stamp of Australia, while encouraging consumers to trade-up through the range.”

Looking back to look forward

Wine is a liquid time capsule. Drinking older vintages not only recalls the weather conditions and winemaking styles of the past, it encourages us to reflect upon our own histories. Such reminiscence often inclines towards romanticised nostalgia. Especially after the second bottle. But looking back is a great way of learning about the future.
