New gadget aims to keep wine cold

The makers of a new gadget that looks like an icicle suspended in a bottle of wine claim it will “maintain the optimal drinking temperature while the bottle is consumed”.
The Corkcicle can be reused again and again as it is made from a freeze gel.
Distributor Root7 said: “The perfect temperature in wine can be the difference between a good glass of wine and a great one.
“To get the Corkcicle to its coldest point it is recommended to leave in the freezer for a minimum of two hours and it will then keep your wine at the perfect temperature for approximately hour hour.”
The Corkcicle costs £19.99.
