Glenfiddich to celebrate 125th birthday

09 July, 2012

Market leading Scotch whisky Glenfiddich will celebrate its 125th anniversary this year by sponsoring the Director of the Year 2012 awards.

The awards will mark the culmination of a four-month partnership between Glenfiddich and the Institute of Directors (IoD) that will also include tasting sessions at IoD events.

The partners have devised a list of 125 business pioneers from the past, present and future, and judges will now choose the winners ahead of the October 5 awards ceremony.

Senior brand manager Annabelle Clarke said: “To mark our heritage in this very special year and demonstrate our commitment to business excellence, we are delighted to sponsor the IoD 2012 Director of the Year Awards.

“As our founder, William Grant, was a true entrepreneur and pioneer of the of the single malt Scotch whisky industry, we feel that the 125 Business Pioneers campaign has a very natural fit with our brand heritage and values.

“We are extremely proud to be associated with the UK’s most distinguished network of business leaders and this partnership will provide us with an invaluable opportunity to engage directly with our target audience.”
