The product is owned by Dublin-based Babco Europe and is being marketed as Mickey Finn Apple Whiskey Liquor.
It is a higher-strength extension of the main 15% abv Mickey Finn light spirit brand, launched in the UK in 2004.
“It’s the ideal drink for those who are discovering whiskey for the first time or looking for something a little different,” said Babco chief executive Mark Wilson.
“From gins to whiskeys, flavoured versions of class spirits are growing in popularity proving the need for innovation.”
The launch is backed by an on-pack offer in which consumers can win limited edition “golden boot” bottles of the brand. Other prizes include a Christmas shopping weekend in Amsterdam and a trip to watch a US college football match in Dublin.
