The 60-second spot is called The Date and tells the story of the “Heineken Legend” taking a woman out on a date.
The ad was shot on location in London and has a Bollywood track as its score.
Premium lagers brands director Bruce Reinders said: “The Date, which follows Heineken’s previous TV ad, The Entrance, attracted more than 4 million hits on YouTube in the first three weeks of its launch when it was released through Video On Demand in January. That number has since risen to almost 10 million hits, and the new six-week TV burst will help to continue to spread Heineken’s Open Your World message throughout the UK.
“Like its campaign predecessor, The Entrance, The Date plays cleverly and effectively on the popularity of ads which use humour and excitement to engage viewers and the brand’s worldly, open-minded and confident personality is perfectly conveyed through the new ad – proving that in every Heineken drinker there is a legendary hero in the making.”
The Date will be shown on ITV1, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky 1, ITV2 and ITV4.
