Discover IWC wines at LIWF

28 March, 2012

More than 1,000 wines looking for representation will be on taste at the London International Wine Fair as part of a team-up with the International Wine Challenge.

The International Wine Challenge Discovery Tasting includes wines from new and established producing countries, split into those targeted at the multiple off-trade, independent merchants and the on-trade.

The tasting aims to give LIWF visitors the first opportunity to access IWC medal winners not yet available in the domestic market.

Event director James Murray said: “Discovery is a key theme for the 2012 show and this tasting provides the perfect opportunity for wineries to get onto the radar of some of the UK’s most influential buyers for the first time.  It will also provide a fast-track route to some great discoveries for the trade.”

IWC event director Chris Ashton said: “Last year 40% of wines entered into the Discovery Tasting won a medal. Holding the tasting at the LIWF will highlight to the trade the quality of the wines entered in the competition and give buyers the opportunity to pick up great wines previously unavailable to the UK market.”
