Sainsbury's buyer Peek to leave

21 March, 2012

Sainsbury’s buyer David Peek is leaving to join Copestick Murray Wine Solutions as commercial director.

Copestick Murray director Robin Copestick told OLN his role would cover sales, brand creation and managing the agency’s supply base.

“Our company is expanding quickly in terms of new customers, new business and new suppliers and I felt I needed somebody to come in to help,” he said. “David’s role will be global and he will also help us with our American company, Cornerstone.”

Commenting on Peek’s departure, Phelps said: “Since joining Sainsbury’s almost two years ago David has made a significant contribution to the sparkling wine, Champagne, Italy and South African categories. We wish him the best of luck. Mark Juggins, an experienced buyer already at Sainsbury’s, will join the team in April.”
