OLN's Atkin nominated as one of wine's most influential

05 March, 2012

OLN’s Tim Atkin MW has been shortlisted as one of the figures in the wine trade who has achieved great things in the past decade, and changed the industry for the better.

He is one of 30 figures nominated by a panel of trade figures to celebrate 10 years of Wine Intelligence.

Ten winners will be selected from the shortlist by a panel of judges to win the Wine Intelligence 10 for 10 Business Awards.

Atkin is one of just three journalists in the shortlist – the others are Robert Parker and Anthony Madigan, editor of Australia’s Wine Business Monthly.

Other high-profile figures in the shortlist include Wines of Chile UK’s European director Michael Cox, Wines of South Africa chief executive Su Birch, and Ian Harris, chief executive of the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.

The awards will be presented by the judges at a series of 10 events between March and November this year, which Wine Intelligence will host in locations across Europe, Asia, North and South America.
